Seeing as the Month of Wellbeing only comes round once a year, we decided to really make the most of this feel-good campaign by embracing it all-month long, from the start to the very end of February.
Employee wellbeing is incredibly important to us. So much so, we make sure we keep it at the forefront of our mind every day through our core values – Always Supportive, Always Caring, Always Safe, Always Ethical and Always Encouraging. These five values are embedded into every element of the business, from our day-to-day processes, to the way we recognise and reward employees for their hard work.
This means that when we aren’t celebrating the Month of Wellbeing (more on exactly what we got up to last month below), we are looking out for our entire workforce and making sure Jenx is a positive and supportive place to work. This can be as simple as asking employees to nominate helpful colleagues in our internal newsletters, and giving them access to an elected learning fund, so they can learn a new non-work-related skill, such as metal-working or bath bomb-making.
What our Month of Wellbeing looked like
In true Jenx style, we embraced the campaign whole-heartedly and put on a packed programme of activities that all members of staff were invited to get involved in.
We kicked things off with a good old cup of coffee
Our Director, Holly, joined us at a staff coffee morning and spoke to everybody about the importance of staff wellbeing and our commitment to looking out for our colleagues. It was a great opportunity to bring everybody together and provide a relaxed space to decompress and connect across different teams.
We found our inner zen
We had the pleasure of being visited by local yoga teacher, Kelly Dadd, who ran a gentle session of yoga for us. We can’t think of a more effective way to instantly revitalise the body and the mind!
We held team-bonding activities
This included crocheting club and a book-sharing club, which enabled everybody to start conversations with people they may not have interacted with before. And, of course, attendees got to learn a new skill and stock up on some new books for the spring.

We stretched our legs
More specifically, nine employees headed to the Peak District where they spent a day appreciating nature and its wealth of wellbeing benefits.
We got put through our paces…

We checked in on our health
Our partners at Westfield Health provided staff with a free health screening. Everybody who received one of the ‘Health MOTs’ were given some valuable insight that will enable them to make more informed choices about their future health.
We also learnt about the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices
Professional nutritionist, Sophia Taylor, from Apollo Nutrition held a special session, just for us, that enabled us to learn more about the short and long-term benefits of making positive lifestyle choices.
We laughed until we cried!
We rounded the week off in the best possible way, with a trip to Sheffield City Hall to enjoy the Last Laugh Comedy Club and a good old belly laugh. Because, as the saying goes, laughter is the best medicine!
We also got involved in all of this too…

That’s a wrap!
We were active, we learnt new skills, we instigated new conversations, we got closer to nature, we relaxed, we laughed, and we did everything in between! We truly made the Month of Wellbeing happen at Jenx, and we loved every single minute of it.
Health, both mental and physical, has a profound impact on every aspect of our life – and that’s why wellbeing campaigns like these play such a crucial role in looking after each and every one of our Jenx ‘family’ members.
