At Jenx and Jiraffe we’re delighted to offer young talent the chance to gain first-hand experience and begin their career in the manufacturing industry with us.
Our renowned apprenticeship scheme allows apprentices to spend around three months learning on the job by working with a range of staff members exploring each part of our manufacturing journey building life-changing equipment for special needs children.
This includes getting to grips with using various machines processing plywood, HDPE, and polypropylene parts, and working in the assembly department producing high-quality metal work. They are also granted the responsibility of receiving and signing for goods, as well as performing quality checks.
We love being able to be a part of our apprentices’ journeys as they not only learn their job but also develop and grow as people.
Adam Yates, an apprentice in production, is currently studying the General Furniture Manufacturer apprenticeship standard after joining Jenx in November 2021.
Adam said: “So far, during my time at Jenx as an apprentice, I’ve gained so much knowledge about different job roles throughout the company – as well as manufacturing and distribution as a whole.
“I’ve learnt a lot already, my role enables me to develop lots of different skills, and I can’t wait to continue growing here.”
