Product Features & Benefits
Users transfer into supported seating in a variety of ways. The open design of the Multiseat, and the fact that every support pad and accessory is designed to quickly and easily flip away without being removed means transferring can be done simply and easily and with dignity. In addition, with the tilt-in-space engaged, the Multiseat gives maximum opportunities to optimise each user’s seating position first time, every time – no matter how they are transferring.
Ease of Transfer
The Multiseat has two options for head support and positioning – an oval headrest for children who require minimal support and the Multigrip™ head rest for more complex requirements. The original Jenx Multigrip™ headrest is a unique design with individual “fingers” that are adjusted to cushion, support and control almost any head position. Highly padded, removable and washable covers make Jenx Multigrip™ head supports a practical solution for almost any child.
Multigrip™ head supports are available in a range of different sizes, all including a choice of highly flexible fixing bracket, giving adjustment for height, depth and angle. Through this combination there is scope to block areas that may otherwise pose a hazard to children prone to getting their heads stuck beneath more conventional headrest designs.
Head Support
The Jenx waistcoat harness is a specific trunk harness in a range of sizes to work across the entire range of Jenx seating products. Providing firm and gentle trunk support to children with low tone, the Jenx waistcoat harness is easy for carers to use – made to attach, detach and flip away in seconds with a single hand. The zip is purposefully installed upside down, allowing access to abdominal feeding sites while maintaining good upper trunk control. A soft fabric surface against the child, with a wipe-clean front, make it both effective and practical for positioning support and for during feeding.
Trunk Positioning
Pelvic stability is an absolute requirement in achieving good posture and function in a seated position. The Multiseat’s combination of contoured seat with memory foam seat pad, independently adjustable lumbar/sacral support, a 4 point lapstrap and fully adjustable hip pads all available as standard provide optimal pelvic control. Plus the optional ischial bar will help prevent those very floppy or very active users from slipping into sacral sitting.
Pelvic Support
The Z-base of the Multiseat provides easy, battery free height adjustment, enabling users to engage with activities at every level alongside their peers.
Height Adjustment
The Multiseat can be used with or without a footpost and footplate. For users with the need to support the feet, the angle adjustable footpost is perfect to accommodate fixed knee flexion or tight hamstrings. It can also be used to give an extra stretch where needed, and even to facilitate prone sitting and/or to help break tonal or extensor patterns. Use the footplate to accommodate or encourage dorsi or plantar flexion by adjusting quickly and simply with the turn of a button.

The contoured seat unit, with memory foam insert, provides unparalleled comfort and the perfect base for true pelvic stability. The two piece back with independent lumbar support gives support exactly where it’s needed, and with both the back and seat units available in two sizes to mix and match as you need, each Multiseat system can be configured specifically to meet the proportions of the child or adult using it.
A wide variety of head, trunk, leg and foot support options allow you to exactly customise every Multiseat to any individual user, whilst the deliberately open design ensures you can quickly see precisely how they are positioned each and every time!
Created with significant input from parents, the Multiseat has been carefully designed to draw attention to the user rather than the piece of equipment, making the child the star of the show!

Accessories
Head
Simple head rest for children who require minimal head support. Comes mounted on a flexible fixing bracket giving adjustment for height, depth and angle.

Oval Head Support
The original and innovative Jenx Multigrip™ headrest is now available in 3 sizes. All 3 sizes have a choice of various highly flexible fixing brackets, which can be adjusted for height, depth and angle.

Multigrip™ Headrest
Trunk
Used to encourage arms into midline and prevent excessive retraction. Completely flip away when not required. Independently adjustable for height, width and angle.

Shoulder Protractors
These flexible PU pads act as a wrap around support with adjustable chest strap. Single handed squeeze button flip away action on all supports for easy transfers. Independently adjustable for height and width. Can be offset to brace a scoliosis or accommodate other skeletal deformities.

Thoracic Supports with Strap
Provides additional positioning support to children. Attach, detach and flip away in seconds with a single hand – no tools required. Must be used with the lap strap
Available in black nyplax or wipe-clean grey PU.

Waistcoat Harness
The arm rests are independently adjustable for height and angle. Clear markings make it esy to set the armrests at the correct height. Padded armrest covers are also available. Arm rest mounting brackets are required for attaching to the Multiseat.

Arm Rests
These are made from flexible and hygienic PU. Single handed squeeze button flip away action on all supports for easy transfers. Independently adjustable for height and width. Can be offset to brace a scoliosis or accommodate other skeletal deformities. Optional matching covers also available.

Slim Thoracics
A useful surface for work, feeding or play. Made from antibacterial plastic providing a hygienic and easy to clean surface. Contrasting tray edging gives a definitive boundary useful for users with visual impairments. Plus enables toys or other items to be securely fastened in place.
*NB: Tray will only attach if Arm Rests are attached to support it.
**NB: Suction toys, anchors or grab bars will not work with this tray – to use these items with the Multiseat you will also require a Reduced Cutout Tray Infill

Tray
Used to encourage arms into a midline position and/or to block excessive retraction.

Elbow Blocks for Tray
Extra cushioning for the tray top. Attaches with velcro and covered in wipe-clean PU fabric.

Full and Half Tray Padding
Removable washable covers for arm rests, leg control pads and thoracics. Available in Blue, Red, Pink, Lime Green or Neutral. A wipe-clean PU hygiene cover for the seat is also available in black.

Made from pressure relieving foam covered in waterproof, breathable PU fabric.

Seat Pad
These supports provide positioning support to help achieve optimum pelvic stability. Adjustable for width and angle with a simple push-button flip-away action for easy transfers.

Hip Supports
An effective positioning aid for children with a strong tendency towards sacral sitting. Position beneath the memory foam seat pad infront of the ischial tuberosities.

Ischial Bar
Leg
Unique leg control pads allow you to control leg position independently of pelvic position, creating abduction or adduction or controlling windsweeping. Flip completely out of the way to facilitate smooth and easy transfers. Sold in pairs NB: Need to be attached and used with leg control brackets.

Leg Control Pads
Used as a prompt to enhance the inherent contoured seat design of the seat unit. Made from hygienic PU.

Available in 2 sizes providing different levels of abducted seating.

Abduction Blocks
Foot
Provides support for feet with easy fit slots making attaching sandals and other foot support options a breeze. Easily flips away and is held in place by a magnet in the footpost.

Attach to the footplate to give a softer surface for children who don’t need or can’t tolerate more structured foot positioning.

Sandals
The raising block kits give the sandals that extra bit of height where needed! Use 1 set to accommodate for leg length discrepancy or use 2 sets to raise the height of the footplate on any product to maximise the available growth. Sandal raising blocks come in sets of 4, each is 15mm (0.7″) thick giving a maximum raise from one set of blocks to 60mm (2.7″).

Sandal Raising Blocks
Useful for those children who cannot handle having their feet in a fixed position. Provides a level of control whilst still allowing freedom of movement.
